Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week 
Shift: 1st Shift - Days, 4-10 hour long shifts 
No Nights, Weekends or Holidays
 

Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Coordinator. Responsible for providing department coordination and direct patient care throughout Gamma Knife procedure. Collaborates with radiation oncology and neurosurgery for the care of the neuro-oncology patient population.

The Coordinator Patient Care ensures that quality outcomes are achieved and demonstrates exceptional clinical practice. The Coordinator Patient Care reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. Serves as a role model for Patients First philosophy.  Provides direct patient care. Provides patient and family education for designated patient populations. Assesses, implements and evaluates the plan of care for designated patients. Ensures that quality outcomes are met for designated patients. Demonstrates in-depth clinical knowledge, skills and expertise. Ability to integrate theoretical knowledge base and clinical expertise in decision making. Demonstrates awareness of psychosocial needs of young adults, adults, and the elderly population.  Demonstrates knowledge base needed to plan and execute safe and effective care to all ages.  AA/EOE
Required:
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse State of Illinois Professional Nurse or eligible in the State of Illinois.
  • BSN with a minimum of three years of clinical experience in area of clinical specialty. 
 
Desired: 
  • Masters Degree.
  • Additional experience in another clinical specialty.
