Required: Masters degree from an accredited school/college of nursing. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Registered Professional Nurse Licensure by the State of Illinois. Advanced Practice Nurse licensure by the State of Illinois. Collaborative agreement with organization’s physician(s). Certification in Basic CPR. Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center required (if applicable). Mid-level practitioner and DEA certificate required if delegated prescriptive authority for controlled substances. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff and other customers. Demonstrated customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity when resolving customer issues. Ability to effectively handle challenging situations. Ability to balance multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use computers and become familiar with software applications related to Occupational Health electronic medical record. Ability to analyze data for decision making purposes. Ability to adapt to changes in work environment, delays or unexpected events. Demonstrates attention to detail and monitors own work for accuracy. Confidence and ability to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries. Preferred: Comfortable suturing simple lacerations and performing simple eye examinations including foreign body removals. Confidence in ability to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses. COHN certification. Minimum of 2 years of Occupational Health, Emergency Department or Urgent Care experience.
