This is a full-time FSW II position scheduled to work 40 hours a week 80 hours biweekly at Marianjoy in Wheaton. The hours and shifts are:

Varied: 5:30a-2:00pm/ 7a-3:30pm/12:00p-8:30p

 

$500 sign-on bonus after 6 months
 
Performs a variety of functions and tasks pertinent to the production, service, sanitation, and distribution of food to both patients and employees. Works in various areas of the department such as patient tray line, dish room, pots and pans, sanitation, cafeteria (serving/cashiering), storeroom and catering (set-up/serving, breakdown). Closes café and or kitchen in absence of supervisor. Performs basic food preparation.
Front and Back of the house support:
Opens café to include but not limited to: stocking, baking, preparing and packaging premade “to go”. Performs limited knife functions. Closes café in absences of food service supervisor or manager; this includes performing PM lock up procedures. Customer Service on Point of Sale register; charges customers, dispenses change, counts bank. Sets up salad/soup bar and entrée station. Serves customers. Sets up and serves at carving station. Sets up and serves at action station, to include reheating of foods on butane burners, and making food selections to order from available ingredients. Replenishes food items at stations. Runs food product between and kitchens. Assist with prep of all catering functions to include hot and cold food item; grilling, frying, cold food production. Set-up pick-up of carts.
Sanitation: Cleans and sanitizes equipment in designated work area. Follows established posted cleaning schedule; daily, weekly, and monthly. Records all required sanitation documents to include by not limited to food temperature log; cooler, freezer and pantry temperature logs; 3 tier sink sanitation water, dish machine temperature logs as required. Daily rotating, labeling and dating of food products. Other daily sanitation as outline per designated area, per department policy.
Other job duties as assigned: Contributes to meeting the fluctuating staffing need of the department as evidenced by flexibility in own assignments and work schedules. Assists in the training and orientation of new associates. Must stay current of recent changes in department policies and techniques in food service through meetings with department managers and department policy manuals. AA/EOE.
 
Required: High School or Equivalent (GED); or in lieu of high school diploma must have 3 years’ cafeteria or healthcare food service experience.
 6 months POS cash handling required.
 Illinois Food Handlers license required before employment.
 
Preferred: 0 – 2 years: 1 year food services experience in healthcare, restaurant, hotel or hospitality setting.
