Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience: 
High School or Equivalent (GED) or in lieu of High school diploma or GED, must have 3 years minimum from scratch cooking experience in a healthcare, restaurant or hotel setting.  Required
0 – 2 years – minimum 1 full year of cooking is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required: 
  1. Capable of dealing effectively with supervisory and non-supervisory personnel as well as patients and visitors.
  2. Must stay current of recent changes in department policies and techniques in food service through meetings with department managers and department policy manuals.
  3. Knowledgeable of HACCP procedures.
  4. Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions in order to follow directions for tasks assigned.
  5. Hand and eye coordination necessary as well as agility and quickness.
  6. Basic working knowledge of computer and internet.
  7. Must be able to work effectively in a team setting.
  8. Excellent customer service focus is required.
  9. Ability to work well under stress is required.
  10. The ability to provide a high level of customer service and to function as a team member is required.
  11. Basic knife handling skills.
  12. Basic cooking & math skills.
  13. Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
 Certification/Licensure Required for Job: 
ServSafe Manager Certification
