Northwestern Memorial Hospital is one of the country’s premier academic medical centers and the primary teaching hospital for Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. While the Northwestern Memorial organization traces its history of caregiving to 1865, the hospital was officially founded in 1972 through the consolidation of two of Chicago’s oldest and most respected institutions: Passavant Memorial Hospital and Wesley Memorial Hospital.
